About
A realistic
OSINT game.
Every case opens with a claim. You test it with the methods journalists and investigators use to verify the open web — and file what you can prove.
Every case is built so that it can be solved with methods you could use tomorrow on a real investigation. No trivia, no pixel hunting, no guessing. If a case feels like a lucky break, it is a fault in the case and we would rather hear about it.
Cases are grouped into arcs. A name you verify in one becomes the opening lead in the next, so nothing you establish is thrown away. They release weekly or monthly — never on a schedule that turns the work into a habit loop.
“A finding without a source is an opinion. File the source.”

How it works
You accept an assignment, work the materials, and file findings. Arc cases do not limit attempts — a chain should not break over a spelling. Special cases do, and the hardest of them charge points for a wrong one instead. A hint costs points, never an attempt. Inside an arc a wrong answer costs nothing at all — the arc is the main thread, and a board that punishes attempts rewards caution instead of work. Closing a case pays both: points, which are the standing inside an arc and are what a hint comes off, and XP, which only ever goes up and moves you along a named ladder from Initiate to Principal. There is no level number and there never will be.
When an arc closes, its standings are archived and its walkthroughs are unsealed — method-first, answer up front. The cases stay open. The board is sealed, not the work.
